Jessica declares a household emergency: 100% of her messages with Sam are now Sam forwarding things his bots did. Sam counters with the week's breakthroughs — a fully automated kids' YouTube pipeline in his own cloned voice and a Claude with full control of a Mac mini shipping its own iOS apps.
Jessica opens the news block with a plea: her household has become “a recursive Sam loop.” Sam screenshots what his bot did and sends it to her for validation; she walks into the kitchen to find him listening to his own cloned voice on a podcast his bot produced in an app he built. Brit says all of Silicon Valley’s spouses are living this; Dave points out that in his house Brit is the one doing it to him.
Sam is unrepentant and presents the week’s two breakthroughs. First, his kids’ media pipeline has leveled up: one command now produces and deploys a finished three-to-seven-minute YouTube video on any topic — when Jessica said their son needed to learn the guitar strings, it popped out a complete video with the right notes and the right animal mnemonics. Brit immediately wants the same thing for kids’ basketball training videos. Sam says the next step is a synthetic Sam newscaster: “I’m not gonna do CNBC anymore, but my bot will.” Second, he gave his Claude full control of a Mac mini — down to the screen — so it can build and ship its own iOS apps end-to-end through TestFlight from a single command. Dave notes, as an ad-lib, that Bitrig makes this possible for normal people who don’t have twelve spare Mac minis. Jessica keeps asking for actual advice on maintaining her husband’s humanity; the best the panel offers is Brit’s “bot-free sabbatical” and Dave’s verdict: “It’s over, Jess. He’s fully in AI psychosis. We’ve lost him.”
